I’m Abdelhakam, originally from Sudan. When I came to Siwa, what stayed with me was the calmness of daily life here. The desert, the nature, and the way people live are closely connected, and everything moves at a slower pace.

Because of my curious nature, I started exploring more, both in Siwa and in other parts of Egypt. I noticed that the places that stay with you the longest are often not the famous ones, but the smaller, quieter places and the moments that happen naturally. By spending time with local people, learning their language, and listening to their stories, I began to understand places you wouldn’t find in guidebooks.

That’s also how I guide. I don’t rush, and I don’t follow a strict plan. I pay attention to my guests and leave space to adjust the day to their wishes. Some days are quiet, others are full of energy.

For me, guiding is spending time together in a place I know well. We move through the day without pressure, taking time where it’s needed. I also enjoy taking photos along the way, capturing moments people can look back on later.
